Sales Associate - Part Time
We're seeking energetic, outgoing people to be a part of our sales staff. Retail is a big plus. You should be comfortable introducing yourself to new people and striking up a conversation.
Duties Include:
- Engaging customers to find out their needs
- Looking for solutions and alternative solutions to customer needs
- Processing transactions at the cash register
- Organizing and displaying merchandise
- Stocking merchandise
- Maintining a clean and tidy store presentation
Book Keeper - Part Time, up to 30hrs
We're looking for a detail-focused person to fulfil book keeping duties that include, but are not limited to: receiving purchase orders electronically, checking accuracy of billing from vendors, accounts payable entry, filing and organizing important documents, communicating with vendors, following up on credits owed and other billing discrepancies, general journal entry, and other minor data entry.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in QuickBooks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar position
A little about who we are:
Chaar started in 2001 as a store primarily serving horseback riding customers. Since then our business has evolved to serve a wider group of consumers including pet owners and clothing and footwear customers. Recently we’ve seen rapid growth and are looking for key people to help sustain that growth as we develop into a multi-store chain over the next 12 to 24 months. Opportunities for career advancement, multi-store management, or corporate-level responsibilities may become available as we continue our growth trajectory.
